ポーカーのサイトの Chess Variants のスレッドで将棋倶楽部２４、HIDETCHI氏のビデオなどが紹介されていた

　HIDETCHI氏のビデオが筆者以外の方（おそらく海外の方）によって紹介されている実例。以下のような Two Puls Two Poker Forum のスレッドの #3 で HIDETCHI 氏のビデオへのリンクを含む内容が投稿されていた（太字による強調は筆者）。

I played shogi a few years ago. I totally suck for Japanese standards but since I have master strength at chess it helps me compensate a little.

I'd say that the best place to play Shogi and watch others play is Shogidojo. I peaked at 12k or 13k there, but now I'm probably back at 15k strength because I play only once a year or so.

　この方は、将棋クラブ２４で指している方のようで、同サイトの英語のトップページへのリンクも貼り、観戦もしていることも書いている。

　このように、将棋以外のカードゲームや、ボードゲームの場などで将棋が紹介される例が出てきたが、その際に、オンラインの対局サイトと、教育的なビデオが英語で利用可能になっていて、リンクするだけで将棋の紹介ができてしまうようになったのが将棋の海外伝播にとって非常に大きいと思う。
