On May 8 and 9, the 3rd game of 66th Meijin-sen 4-win match between Meijin Moriuchi and Challenger Habu took
place. Moriuchi was Sente player this game and Habu won it in 164 moves. Moriuchi led the position from the opening, but they say his 141st move of S*9h overlooked next Gote's N-8f by mistake which opened horizontal line of Gote's Rook to check Sente's King. It was one of the biggest turnarounds in the history of Meijin-sen.
The diagram below is the resignation one when Gote dropped his Gold on 9c. Sente's King would be mated anyway. The possible variations after that position would be as followings;
K-7c +Rx8d Kx6c S*5b K-5d +Rx7d K-4e +R-3d K-5e B-6d(mate, replayable by clicking the arrow in the direction under the diagram)
K-7c +Rx8d Kx6c S*5b K-5d ;Rx7d K-5e S-4d +Bx4d+ +Rx4d(mate)
