Kubo defended Kio-title in 3-2, 35th Kio-sen Best of Five Match

Toady the 5th game of 35th Kio-sen between Kio Kubo Toshiaki and Challenger 9-dan Sato Yasumitsu were held at JSA hall in Osaka prefecture. As a result of Furigoma, Sato became Sente. Kubo beat Sato in 190 moves and defended the title of Kio. You can replay the game linked below. It's really a death match deserving to replay.

Kai took the 1st game - 3rd Mynavi Joshi Open Best of five match

On March 28, the 1st game of 3rd Mynavi Joshi Open Best of Five match took place in Hosokawa Gyobu''s house in Kumamoto prefecture. Joryu 2-dan Kai Tomomi challanged Queen Yauchi Rieko and she took the first game. Here is the link to replay the game.

The game started at 9:00am. Sato is Sente. The allotted thinking time per player is 4 hours and each will have to make a move less than 60 seconds per move after consuming it out. Before the game, the score is tied in 2-1 led by Sato. Since Kio-sen is best of five games, Kubo cannot lose any game to defend the title.

The allotted thinking time per player is 8 hours and each will have to make a move less than 60 seconds per move after consuming it.  Today is Day 1 and the sealed move will be made around 6:00 pm.  Day2 will start at 9:00am tomorrow.
