Here are some more information about Shotest on Xbox 360 to visit.

I do not understand why it was released in advance only in the Japanese market. I hope it will become availble other regions soon.

I have contacts to Microsoft's Xbox related staff, they gave me the following answer (or words to that effect)

"Shotest will also come to Europe. In Europe and America, a „Summer of Arcade“ promotion for Xbox Live is going on for action-oriented games. Unfortunately, Shogi just doesn't fit in there. Given in Japan there is no such campaign, it has been released there in advance. It should only take several weeks to be released in other markets."
