On September 27, the third game of 54th Ouza title match between Ouza Habu and Challenger Kisei Sato in Hyogo prefecture, Japan. Habu won the third game with 130 moves following to last two games. He defended the Ouza title by this victory. After he took the title from the former Ouza Fukuzaki with the score of 3-0 in 1992, he defended it in 14 terms in a row.
