Contact with Japan Club - A Malaysian case

Here is an blog entry written by an author who recently get to know shogi to play some games.

I only know two Malaysians who play Shogi, one is named Voon a.k.a Xinwen, another is surnamed Voon a.k.a Ryou Takehito. But you can get a lot of opponents in Malaysia if you come to Japan Club, and play against the Japanese club members there.

This is an Malaysian case. I think this suggests that there are Japanese communities near your residence in your country and some of the members there can be your shogi opponents. It may be a good way to contact local Japanese communities in your hometown to find a real shogi opponent.

Episode 288 of Naruto had shogi scene

Episode 288 of Naruto(Episode 68 of Naruto Shippuuden) aired in Japan last Thursday. There was a shogi scene between Asuma and the third(Sandaime). Naruto Shipuuden is currently airing filler episodes and aprat from Manga story.

SHOGI-L is moving to Google Groups from Topica.com

I think this transfer is good for the following reasons;

1. Google Groups allows registered members to post not only a text but also a file which means a diagram image, a photo of a tournament and so on can be distributed easily.
2. Various feeds are available to use.
3. You can enjoy stronger search function since it's a Google application.

Only negative point that I can think of immediately is that the archives are located in plural places which makes us more difficult to search the contents in the past. But overall, I think the transfer is a good decision.

Today is the day for the game between Itodani Tetsuro(5 dan) and Masuda Yuji(5 dan)..  As a result of Furigoma,  Itodani became a Sente player. You may replay the game through the pages linked below;

Today is the day for the game between Toyoshima Masayuki(4 dan) and Itodani Tetsuro(5 dan).  As a result of Furigoma,  Toyoshima  became a Sente player. You may replay the game through the page linked below;

Attention. Both players are teens. Toyoshima is the current youngest player who is a high school boy. Itodani is the first player who entered in a national University after becoming a professional player when he was a high school student.

It's my mistake. Ryuo's child is a son, not daughter.

I have to correct my entry titled "Watanabe Akira granted some tsumeshogi problems to his daughter" For some reason, I wrongly believed his child is a daughter for a long time. But the fact is not a daughter but a son. Please accept my apology for the error.
