Can we expect Google goggles will become able to suggest a move of a shogi game in the future?

I read interesting articles and watched a video released by Google. Here are the links to them.

At the later half  of this video, the possibility for Google Goggles to suggest a move of a chess  game in the future is mentioned.  If it is possible, why not shogi as well?

This is a simple thing to do. The google search engine is not really suggesting a move. Google recognizes the picture is of a game in progress. Then it takes the game position and passes it to a game engine that plays the game. If it will suggest a move after a few seconds then it will probably be a bad move. This would be easier to do for shogi than for chess. For chess google will need to recognize where each piece by looking at 3 dimensional objects. This is hard. But for shogi the pieces are flat kanji characters, easier for the computer to recognize. The only way this would be interesting would be if google let the game engine run on one of its supercomputers for a few minutes. I don’t think google will do that. I think you will get a better game by running a shogi engine on your phone.
