The development of this software was actually inspired by a thread on the popular GoDiscussions forums. You can find the thread announcing this release (made by a friend of the developer), at http://www.godiscussions.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7425 with a link to the thread that inspired it in there.

So it was intended for Go, but it will work just fine for Shogi as well of course :)
