I think this transfer is good for the following reasons;
Google Groups allows registered members to post not only a text but also a file which means a diagram image, a photo of a tournament and so on can be distributed easily.
You can enjoy stronger search function since it's a Google application.
Only negative point that I can think of immediately is that the archives are located in plural places which makes us more difficult to search the contents in the past. But overall, I think the transfer is a good decision.
Today the 14th LPSA one day tournament called "MONDAY CUP" was held at LPSA's office in Komagome, Tokyo. It was competed among the 8 players in the form of knock-down tournament. Funato Yoko beat Kitao Madoka, Matsuo Kaori and Ishibashi Sachio. The final game is available to watch and replay through the linked pages below. Funato was Gote player in the final game.
The opening of this game was Gokigen Nakabisha Ultra quick attack variation. The length of the video is one hour and ten minutes. It will be interesting to watch the video and boardreplay at the same time with opening two browsers if possible.

ESC(European Shogi Championship) and WOSC(World Open Shogi Championship) took place on July 10 through 13 in Pardubice, Czech. Ukrainian Artem Kolomiyets won all the shogi tournaments such as Blitz, ESC and WOSC this year. You can see the full results on the following page linked below. Apart from tournament results, the remarkable thing this year is that there are many Hungarian players who took part. I think this is the first time for Hungarian players to participate in ESC/WOSC.
Today is the day for the final 5th game of 79th Kisei-sen between Kisei Sato Yasumitsu and Challenger Habu Yoshiharu. The venu of the match is at Wakatsuki Bettei(in Japanese) in Ito City, Shizuoka prefecture. Before the game, the score is 2-2. The winner of this game will be the next Kisei title holder.

On July 14 and 15, the 1st game of 49th Oui-sen 4-win match
between Oui Fukaura and Challenger Yoshiharu Habu took
place at Hokuten no Oka
in Abashiri City of Hokkaido. Habu became Sente player this
game as a result of Furigoma and he won it in 97
moves. The opening strategy was itteson-kakugawari(Bishop exchange with Gote's one move delay). It was a very close game until the end.
