On May 30 & 31, the forth 5th game of 65th Meijin-sen between Meijin Moriuchi and challenger Goda 9 dan was held in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. Goda was Sente(Black, or lower side of the diagram) player and Moriuchi won it in 98 moves. Moriuchi led the score by 3-2. You may replay the game here.
The diagram above is the resignation diagram when Moriuchi dropped his Rook on 8e as the 98 moves. There is no immediate mate after the diagram. But anyway, Sente cannot help losing it. Here is my analysis about the varitations after it.
